Hello, my name is Sherri Tomiak and I am a professional genealogist and researcher based from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I  graduated from the University of Alberta in 1999 with a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Sociology with a Minor in  History with a focus on Indigenous and Canadian history. After my graduation, I used my new found "free time" to explore my own family history and to answer some of my lingering questions. I was immediately hooked and fell in love with genealogy and how I could recreate my ancestors lives through records, pictures, maps, and connecting with other family members.

After several years of personal research which took me throughout Canada, the United States of America, Norway, Germany, Prussia, Russia, Poland, Ukraine, France, and the British Isles, I founded  Family Connect Genealogical Services in 2010.  Since this time, the world of genealogy has continues to grow with DNA and ever expanding online records and resources. I keep up to date through my memberships. classes, workshops, and conferences.

I provide/offer:
